Here you can book affordable dorm-style accommodations on-campus of the University of Virginia.

If you are attending the pre-conference tutorial, you can book this accommodation for one night only, from May 25 to May 26 (when the room rate at Omni is very high), and then move to Omni for the rest of the conference. If you wish, you can also stay in the dorm for the whole conference.As you decide on the housing options, please consider the following points:

On-campus Dorm-style Accommodation

Hall-style accommodations are air-conditioned and located in Watson-Webb dorm in the Alderman Road First Year Residence Area. Note that this dorm is approximately 2 miles from the Omni Hotel where the conference will take place and will require some walking or transportation to and from the hotel.

These student dorm rooms are a no-frills alternative to a hotel. Rooms are located on a hallway and furnished with two lofted XL twin beds, two desks, two dressers, and two wardrobes. A set of compostable linens, pillow and blanket will be provided. Bathrooms are located on the hall and are communal, shared with other guests of the same gender on the same floor.

Please note that all guests must provide their own bath towels and toiletries. These items are NOT provided. Rooms are also not equipped with hotel-style amenities such as hairdryers, irons/ironing boards, hangers, or area lamps. Guests must provide their own.

Check-in: The Program organizers will distribute room keys to all guests. There is a $25 charge for lost room keys.

Disability and Medical Accommodations: Should you require disability-related or medical accommodation during your stay, please notify the Program organizer.

Pricing:

Single occupancy: $41 per person, per night;

Double occupancy: $33 per person, per night (shared room)

One-time linen fee of $20 will be charged regardless of the duration of the stay.

Parking: available for an additional fee. Note that parking location for the dorm is not directly adjacent to the building and spaces are assigned by UVA Parking and Transportation based on availability. If you require parking during your stay, please contact UVA Parking and Transportation at 434-924-7231 during business hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm to obtain a digital permit. Please specify that you are a participant of the ANGEL Conference and that you will be staying in the Alderman Road dorms. Payment by credit or debit card will be required at the time of purchase.

If your budget is not too tight, staying at Omni (recently renovated 4-star hotel) during the conference would be much more convenient. For May 26-30, a special rate of $133 per room per day (plus local and state taxes, currently 13.3%) is available to the conference participants. To access this special rate, the reservations should be made via Group Web Page that can be accessed through this link.

Your credit card statement will read “UVA ANGEL Conference” for this purchase.

The Refund Policy: Full refund until May 1, 2024, No refund after May 1, 2024
